Team: Reya Ahmed  Jami’an is a resource published by Maslaha to support families whose loved ones are in prison and navigate the prison system. It provides information on how to find out where an individual is, how to contact them and arrange visits, how to send money and parcels, and details of other grassroots organisations working to provide support.

The publication was designed as an A5-sized resource for Muslim families, focusing on accessible reading and ease of carrying. The informative text is carefully interspersed with light green and brown pages to highlight important sections, quotes, and testimonies. The star-shaped tittle is used as a motif across the publication as punctuation and bullet-points but also as a cultural connection for those familiar with the Arabic script. The wraparound cover illustration highlights the ethnic diversity within the UK Muslim community, making this intimidating subject more relatable and approachable to the families.
